Now, its Home Guard jawans turn, District Commander among 70 given Covid-19 vaccine
Ferozepur, February 19, 2021: With the launch of the Covid-19 vaccination in India, first the frontline workers are being given vaccine shots and today District Commander, Home Guard jawans was among 70 staff members.
Even otherwise there is a decline in reporting of positive cases due to people conscious about the Corona pandemic and following the protocols of wearing masks at crowded places, maintaining distance, and washing hands frequently.
As per the latest record, 1,77,376 people have so far been affected in Punjab by the novel coronavirus Covid-19, with the recovery of 1,69,002, say 95 percent and sadly, 5,732 have died. However, around 2,642 patients are still active with Corona positive. So far as Ferozepur is concerned, there are only 14 active cases while deaths due to Corona were 149.
A few days back, Rajinder Krishan District Commander along with Krishan Kumar GRP had motivated the Home Guards staff to get vaccinated for Covid-19 and today he himself got the vaccine shot among the total 70 staff members in Ferozepur, by the team of Civil Hospital.
District Commander said, after registration with the health department, the Home Guards staff started getting messages for vaccination. He said, the vaccine had no side effects and all were feeling fine, after the observation period of 30 minutes. He appealed all to get the Covid-19 vaccine on their turn at the specific place, to make success the initiative by the government against Covid-19 by launching the vaccine to completely eradicate the coronavirus.
