Two booked for snatching bag containing Rs 2.2 lakh from PSPCL woman employee

The district police have booked two unidentified men, who allegedly snatched a bag containing cash worth Rs 2.26 lakh and three bank cheques of total amount Rs 18,930 from the cashier of PSPCL (Punjab State Power Corporation Limited) in Kharar.
According to the police, the incident took place on Monday near the electricity board office in Kharar when the cashier, Karamjit Kaur was going to deposit the cash in a bank branch. When she came out of the office, the miscreants came on a motorcycle and snatched the bag from the cashier before fleeing from the spot.
Karamjit Kaur stated to the police that she was able to see one miscreant as the face of the other was covered with a helmet.
On the complaint of Karamjit Kaur, a case has been registered against the two unidentified persons under Section 379-B of the IPC at the City Kharar police station.
The police are scrutinizing the footage of CCTV cameras installed near the crime spot to trace the miscreants. Further investigation is on, said the police.
