Canadian MP Ruby Sahota pays tribute to airport taxi & limo drivers who lost their lives to Covid (Watch Covid)
Chandigarh, February 24, 2021: Ruby Sahota, Member of Parliament for Brampton North, Canada paid tribute to the airport taxi and limo drivers who lost their lives to the Covid-19 pandemic.
While speaking at the House of Commons, Sahota said “Today I stand proud as a daughter of a taxi-driver and also I make this statement with great sorrow that following men were a part of my father’s extended taxi family. I’m trying to take this opportunity while speaking in the House of Commons of those who lost their life to Covid-19.”
“To Kamal Dhami, Gurdeep Dhugga, Paul Grewal, Maroun Haddad, Ki-oh Kim, James Wu, Lawrence Zah, Akashdeep Grewal, Abdullah, Karam Singh Punian. Thank you for your dedicated service. You worked around the clock to ensure that other reached home safe. While it comes to Pierson Airport Taxi and Limo service, you can always look forward to a great conversation and great service with a smile. These men were at the frontline of this pandemic having to deal with the virus originally knew very little about. We will not forget your service or your memory,” she further added.
