Tennis: Rushil Khosla, Pavitra Pari qualify for Main Draw
CHANDIGARH, FEB 28,2021: Rushil Khosla and Manish Yadav qualified for the main draw in boys singles of the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors (Grade-4) for boys and girls under-18 years at the Sector 10 Tennis Stadium here today. In the boys singles final qualifying round Manish Yadav bounced back from slow start to beat Aditya Balda 4-6, 7-6(2), [10-8], Rushil Khosla defeated Vishal Gautam in straight sets 6-4, 6-2. Saheb Sodhi and Deep Munim also entered into main draw.
Nishant Dibas and Aman Dahiya have been seed one and two respectively in the boys singles first round. In the girls singles final qualifying round second seed Pavitra Parikh defeated Naga Roshin Arunkumar 6-3, 7-6(3). Sixth seed Nandini Dixit won from Satiesa Buddhala in closed contestant 3 setter match. Nandini lost first set 6-7(2) in tie break. Down by one set Nandini came back strongly and took the second set 6-4. In the final set (match tie break) Nandini maintained her momentum and won the match in match tie break without getting much pressure 10-4. Fifth seed Navya Badlamudi and Deepshika Sriram also qualified for the main draw.
