Capt Amarinder is a “U-turn” CM: Dushyant Gautam
Chandigarh, March 3, 2021: Chief Minister Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh has become the U-turn CM, said Dushyant Gautam, National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party and in-charge of Punjab.
“Captain Amarinder Singh, who shamelessly took a U-turn on election promises after becoming Chief Minister, is now taking a U-turn on the decisions taken as Chief Minister,” said Dushyant.
Citing press release issued by the Punjab government on April 14, 2027, that read 'Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has taken another step towards ending the VIP culture in the state on the foundation and inauguration stones. It is prohibited to write the name of any government official including ministers and MLAs.
“The cabinet ministers, Congress MPs, and MLAs, as well as IAS and IPS officers, has mocked CM’s orders, Today we will give proof of how Chief Minister Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh himself dismantled the orders, citing press releases issued by the Punjab Government,” he added.
Dushyant cited ocassions including the inauguration of Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University done by Captain Amarinder on October 25, 2020, May 30, 2019, when CM laid the foundation stone of a Vegetable Processing Plant, Macchiwara, and February 3, 2021, when CM laid the foundation stone for Sardar Bahadur Amin Chand Soni Armed Forces Preparatory Institute to be built at Bajwara in Hoshiarpur district, when the norms were reportedly flouted.
