Mohali police starts covid-19 testing in busy markets
Mohali, March 19, 2021:
The district police have started taking covid-19 samples of the people at the busy markets of the city. A special drive has been started by the district police along with the health workers in a bid to control the rising cases of coronavirus in the district.
Mohali SP (city) Harvinder Singh Virk said, “Today we took 62 RT - PCR test samples at different locations in Mohali City. In addition to this, three persons were also challaned for not wearing mask. We also made aware the public regarding the sudden rise of covid-19 cases in the district.”
DSP (city 1) Gursher Singh said, “The covid-19 testing has been started by the police team on the instructions of the Chief Minister today. We had a team of around four health workers for taking samples of the people. The drive will continue like this in all the busy markets like Phase 3B2 and Phase 7.”
On this occasion, DSP (city 2) Deep Kamal and Station House Officer of Mataur police station, Inspector Ashok Kumar were also present.
