4 deaths, 248 new covid-19 cases reported in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, March 26, 2021:
Chandigarh on Friday reported 248 new covid-19 positive cases. Four deaths have also been reported in last 24 hours due to covid-19.
As per the information released by the health department, UT Chandigarh, the total number of active cases in Chandigarh stands at 2,392.
In the last 24 hours, the department has tested 1,944 samples. As per the figure, 372 deaths have been reported in Chandigarh due to Covid-19 to date.
Likewise, the total number of patients who have tested positive to date stands at 25,604.
COVID Death details:-
- A 55-year-old COVID positive Female R/o Sector 46, a case of Hypertension and Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus, expired at GMCH 32.
- A 55-year-old COVID positive Male R/o Dhanas, a case of Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus and Coronary Artery Disease, expired at GMSH-16.
- An 88-year-old COVID positive Male R/o Sector 23, a case of Hypertension and Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus, expired at GMSH-16.
- A 70-year-old COVID positive Male R/o Sector 44, a case of Type 1 Respiratory Failure and Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus, expired at PGIMER.
Discharged Patients:-
- A total of 138 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
