Vaccination at doorsteps from Monday in Patiala: DC Kumar Amit

Accelerating the ongoing vaccination campaign to provide shield from covid-19 in Patiala district, the district administration has decided to extend its ambit to the villages and wards of the district from Monday extensively.
Disclosing this here today Deputy Commissioner Kumar Amit said that vaccination was the only solution to save the people of the district from the Corona pandemic and in view of the reluctance of the people, it was decided to extend this facility to their doorsteps.
He said that the decision to widen the scope of immunization has been taken, keeping in view the wheat procurement season starting in the coming days so that the immunization of the people of the district could be completed.
He said that after the starting of immunization process of every person in the age group of 45 years and above from April 1, the decision to expedite the immunization drive was taken keeping in view the health safety of the people.
According to the Deputy Commissioner, vaccination would be conducted by the teams of the health department at 17 locations on Monday so that the eligible persons living in the vicinity of these places could also avail the benefit of immunization facility.
According to Civil Surgeon Dr. Satinder Singh, on Monday Outreach Camps would be organised at Government College (Girls) Patiala, Ward No. 35 New Officer Colony, Ward no. 58 Dharamsala Pratap Nagar, Ward no. 48 Gurdwara Khalsa Mohalla, PWD Block Mini Secretariat, Municipal Corporation Office, Shivalik School SST Nagar, Apollo School Urban Estate, Shiv Mandir Qila Chowk, Kali Devi Mandir, Ward no. 46 in Patiala city and Cooperative Society Kalyan, Escorts Bahadurgarh, Bungey (Rajpura), HUL Nabha, Market Committee Patran, Cooperative Society Devigarh, where people from the nearby areas can get their vaccination done.
He said that apart from the age group of 45 years and above, all front line workers, teachers, advocates, journalists, industrial houses, Arhtiyas, Labourers involved in procurement season, transporters could also avail the benefits of this vaccination campaign.
