Workshop on 'Yoga and Women’s Health’ held at DSWC
Ferozepur, April 9, 2021: On day workshop on “Yoga and Women’s Health” was held on the campus of Dev Samaj College for Women-DWCW organized by the Health and Physical Education Department, under the tutelage of Dr.Ramnita Sharda, Principal, with an objective to create awareness among the students about yoga.
Dr.Bhaskar Shukla, Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna, Govt PG College, Naini, Prayagraj, UP was the keynote speaker.
Addressing the students, Shukla said, yoga is actually the science of living the right way and incorporating it into daily life is an important need of today. He said yoga is an activity that helps in self-discipline and self-control. This is a type of exercise; with regular practice, one can stay physically and mentally healthy.
Thanking Dr.Bhaskar Shukla, Dr.Ramnita Sharda said that through this workshop positive inclusion was promoted in the era of Covid-19. On a practical level, yoga is a means of balancing and co-coordinating the body, mind and emotions. When yoga is made a part of daily life, it can be another alternative to medicine. Yoga is no less than a boon for the human race.
She also congratulated Prof Palwinder Singh, Ved Parkash and Dr.Kulbir Singh for successful conduct of the workshop.
