Nearly 100 vaccinated in Services Club, other organizations will also be covered: DC Hoshiarpur
Hoshiarpur, April 18, 2021: After roping in social and religious organizations for giving further acceleration to COVID vaccination, the District Administration today said that special camps would be held in other institutions also in the coming days.
Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait while giving information in this regard said that today a special camp was held in the local Services Club where health teams inoculated nearly 100 beneficiaries including staff, members of the club, and their families.
Such special camps would also be organized at other places, organizations, institutions, and NGOs said Riyait adding that if any institute wants to get these camps held, they can coordinate with the district administration.
Divulging details of the ongoing vaccination drive, Apneet Riyait said that around 100 teams of the health department were holding camps to administer the vaccine to eligible beneficiaries which can be increased if needed, and more than 1.80 lakh persons had been vaccinated in the district so far.
She said that Administration had made elaborate arrangements to get the eligible beneficiaries inoculated as early as possible in the larger public interest.
Riyait said that apart from different places, vaccination camps were being held in Mandis of District to cover farmers, Arthiyas, laborers, and other stakeholders during the ongoing procurement operations.
Meanwhile, SDM Hoshiarpur Amit Mahajan visited the special camp at Services Club to take stock of vaccination and boosted the morale of health teams and beneficiaries. Besides others, Member Secretary of Services Club Raminder Singh was also present.
