To curb COVID spread, Chandigarh DC seeks cooperation of FOSWAC & CRAWFED
Chandigarh, April 19, 2021:
Chandigarh Deputy Commissioner Mandip Singh Brar, IAS, held a meeting on Monday with FOSWAC Chairman Baljinder Singh and CRAWFED Chairman Hitesh Puri for their valuable inputs and seeks their cooperation to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Due to surge of COVID- 19 cases in the city, the DC instructed the Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) to spread awareness regarding the vaccination for the eligible residents and also to follow the COVID guidelines in their areas to curb COVID19 spread in the city.
In the detailed discussion, the DC appealed to RWAs representatives to actively participate along with administration on various issues which included home isolation, strict adherence of night curfew and weekend lockdown, Ward/Sector wise vaccination, Mass level testing, SOPs of home Quarantine like etc discussed in detail.
The DC also directed the SDMs to strictly enforce the guidelines and enhance number of challans in their respective jurisdiction for the same.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, SDMs and Director Public Relations from Chandigarh Administration, also attended the meeting.
