Civil Hospital to get 13 oxygen concentrators: ADC Jalandhar
Holds meeting with health officials to ensure optimum utilization of oxygen gas
Directs to maintain a record of demand, supply, and consumption of this life-saving commodity for efficacious use
Jalandhar, April 23, 2021: Civil Hospital is all set to receive 13 oxygen concentrators to reduce its oxygen demand amid a spike in fresh Covid-19 cases, said Additional Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal.
While presiding over a review meeting with health officials at a local civil hospital, the ADC said that these oxygen concentrators would contribute to optimum utilization of this life-saving gas to ensure maximum availability of oxygen to critical patients admitted in covid care facilities.
The ADC further chalked out means to check proper utilization of oxygen in civil hospitals and directed the health officials to maintain a daily record of demand, supply, and consumption of oxygen gas in the hospital.
He also added that the hospital authorities were going to procure a pressure-measuring gauge to avoid wastage of this precious gas during its utilization.
Meanwhile, Sarangal took stock of the availability of medicines and other facilities in the Covid care ward and expressed his satisfaction over the services being rendered by the medical staff. He stated that as of now there was no shortage of medicines in the hospital.
The ADC also visited the oxygen generation plant at Civil Hospital and directed officials to keep a close tab over the operations of this plant so that there was no room for wastage of this gas in the larger public interests.
