COVID-19 crisis: DC inspects Oxygen Plant set up in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, April 23, 2021: In the past 48 hours have seen an escalation of India’s oxygen emergency and in view of the recent surge in Covid-19 positive cases, there had been a huge demand for oxygen for effective clinical treatment of Covid-19 patients, in the hospitals. On Friday, an oxygen plant has been started at local Shaheed Anil Baghi Hospital at a cost of Rs.50 lakh.
After inspecting the oxygen plant, Gurpal Singh Chahal, Deputy Commissioner, commended the managing Committee of the hospital, for this initiative, in the hour of need which would be a relief to the Corona patients to get oxygen. DC asked the people to follow the instructions issued by the government for the prevention of Covid-19 to win in the fight against the corona pandemic.
Dr.Kamal Baghi, Director of the hospital said, the first 20 mega cylinders of oxygen is produced in his hospital. The plant has been commissioned today which will produce 80 mega cylinders of oxygen.
