All oxygen cylinders to be available to Oxygen Management Committee: Mohali DM

Keeping in view the recent rise in COVID-19 cases, industrial oxygen supply has already been banned in the country. In order to facilitate supply of medical oxygen to hospitals, empty cylinders are required to supplement availability with the hospitals treating COVID19 patients. Therefore, Girish Dayalan, IAS, District Magistrate in exercise of powers conferred under National Disaster Management Act, 2005, has ordered all industrial or other units in possession of oxygen cylinders, to make them available to the Oxygen Management Committee headed by Pavitar Singh, PCS, EO GMADA immediately. The Nodal Officer for procurement of cylinders shall be Sukhdeep Singh, District Programme Officer (Ph. 9914400406).
The owners and management of the units shall be held personally responsible for any lapse in this regard, stated the orders.
