Chandigarh reports highest single-day COVID death toll with 11 deaths; 772 new cases
Chandigarh, April 28, 2021:
Chandigarh reported 772 new COVID-19 positive cases on Wednesday. 11 deaths due to COVID were also reported in the last 24 hours, which is the highest single-day death toll in the city so far.
As per the information released by the health department, UT Chandigarh, the total number of active cases in Chandigarh stands at 6,306.
In the last 24 hours, the department has tested 3,561 samples. As per the figure, 457 deaths have been reported in Chandigarh due to COVID-19 to date.
Likewise, the total number of patients who have tested positive to date stands at 41,122.
