All air passengers to produce Negative COVID report or vaccination certificate before boarding flight: Mohali DC
Mohali, May 3, 2021:
As per the instructions received from the Government of Punjab; for the purpose of preventing the spread of the disease and enable effective surveillance, tracing and tracking the movement of passengers, the district administration made major announcement on Monday. Girish Dayalan District Magistrate-cum-Chairperson DDMA has directed that it shall be ensured for air passengers at the Chandigarh International Airport, Mohali that all passengers shall either produce Negative COVID report not older than 72 Hours or a vaccination certificate (at least one dose) over two weeks old before boarding the flight. The airline shall be responsible for ensuring the same.
All incoming passengers belonging to Punjab/ whose destination is Punjab shall install COVA App on their smart phones, before exiting the Airport. They shall also necessarily turn on Bluetooth and GPS. The Airlines shall publicize this extensively to ensure that this information is made available to all the passengers boarding the flights well before their departure.
The Station Managers of the respective Airlines shall be responsible to implement the above orders. Any violation shall invite penal action as per law.
CEO, Chandigarh International Airport, shall monitor this and ensure compliance of these directions and report deviations, if any.
