Ferozepur Civil Hospital to have O2 Plant in June at cost of Rs.1.5 cr : MLA Pinki
Ferozepur, May 7, 2021: In view of reports of shortage of Oxygen in the hospitals due to surge in Covid cases, the Ferozepur Civil Hospital will have an O2 Plant at a cost of Rs.1.25 crore besides filling up of posts of special doctors, said Parminder Singh Pinki, MLA Ferozepur.
He said, the O2 Plant has been sanctioned by the Central government on the recommendations of Punjab government at a cost of Rs.1.25 crore and in the coming one month, the construction work will start before arriving of the plant machinery.
He said that all the machinery of the plant is being sourced from abroad and it will be an automatic plant with a capacity of 650 liters per minute and it will produce 35 cubic meters of oxygen in 1 hour.
Pinki said, with this installation, the oxygen problem will be solved in the border region. He also said another Rs.1.5 crore had been sanctioned for improving the infrastructure at the civil hospital and the patients will not have to be referred to other hospitals at long distances in the event of emergency.
Till the PGI Satellite Center is started in Ferozepur, all types of medical facilities and OPD services will be provided to the people in the civil hospital, said Pinki adding all efforts are being made to overcome the challenges by providing the best facilities.
