To break Covid-19 impact, Dairy Development deptt to impart online training to dairy farmers
Ferozepur, May 7, 2021: COVID-19 has presented challenges for all agricultural sectors and the working group is responding to issues as they emerge by developing industry specific advice to support dairy businesses.
The training progrmmes run by the Dairy Development Department has also been affected due to Covid-19 protocol of maintaining social distance and no gatherings etc. In such circumstances, the business done in a scientific way would be profitable.
To break the Covid-19 impact which had a devastating effect on the country’s economy and government activities have also come to a standstill, the Dairy Development department has made arrangements for imparting online training to milk producers and dairy farmers, from May 17.
Randeep Kumar Deputy Director Dairy, Ferozepur said the dairy training programs on the latest techniques of procurement and maintenance of dairy cattle, manure feeding, breeding, maintenance and sound marketing, which were discontinued due to the Covid 19 epidemic, have been re-introduced for in-house training for convenience of milk producers.
Randeep Kumar Deputy Director Dairy, Ferozepur said that the unemployed young boys and girls belonging to District Ferozepur who are between the ages of 18 to 50 years, have passed at least fifth class and are residents of the village should adopt Dairy Farming if they aspire for self-employment.
