Haryana extends lockdown for a week
Chandigarh, May 9, 2021:
Haryana government on Sunday announced that the lockdown imposed in the state will be extended till May 17 amid continuous rise in COVID cases.
The home minister Anil Vij tweeted, “Mahamari Alert / Surkshit Haryana announced from 10 May to 17 May Stringent measures will be taken to contain spread of Corona in Haryana. Detailed order to be issued soon.”
Earlier, the state was under the week-long lockdown – from May 3 to May 10.
The government hinted of imposing more restriction this time. However, the detailed order is yet to come.
