Brig (Retd) P.S.Cheema, Gen Sec of Sant Nirankari Mission passes away
Chandigarh, May 12, 2021:
Rev. Brig. (Retd.) P.S.Cheema, General Secretary, Sant Nirankari Mission passed away on Wednesday morning.
Rev. Cheema was an able Army officer and a defecated devotee of the Mission who excelled in every aspect of life and inspired everyone with his discipline, surrender and saintly qualities.
Born on 14 March, 1949, he was raised in a divine and spiritual atmosphere with teachings of the Satguru. He received ‘Brahmgyan’ in July 1956. He joined the Indian Army, where too, he kept his spiritual connect intact; inspiring his contemporaries with faith and goodness. He was awarded the DRDO Technology Award by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
On April 29, 2006 Rev. Cheema was nominated by Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj to be a Member of the Working Committee and thereafter to be a Member of the Executive Committee with effect from April 28, 2007 and attached with Social Welfare, Health and Medical Departments. Brig. P. S. Cheema was also a member of the Advisory Committee on Security. He was blessed by to be a Gyan Parcharak on May 01, 2007.
He was also nominated as a founding member of the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation on April 12, 2010.
Presently, Cheema was the General Secretary of the Mandal, the sewa being bestowed upon him by Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj in 2018. He was simultaneously taking care of the portfolios of Health, IT, Security, Studio and Telecommunications as a Member Incharge. He was also the backbone of the upcoming Sant Nirankari Health City Project of the Mission.
The Sant Nirankari Mandal informed with deep regret and sorrow that his departure from the physical world is an irreparable loss to the mission. His life and values will always inspire generations to come on their path of devotion and selfless sewa.
