Bargari sacrilege: SIT arrests six accused
Faridkot, May 16, 2021:
The special investigation team (SIT) of Punjab police, formed to investigate the six-year-old case of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib in Bargari and Jawahar Singh Wala, arrested six accused persons.
The team of SIT led by IPS SPS Parmar has achieved a major success for the first time since the CBI handed over the case to Punjab police.Second member of the team is Rajinder Singh Sohal, AIG, Counter-Intelligence, Punjab.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Sukhjinder Singh alias Sunny, Baljit Singh, resident of Sikha Wala in Faridkot, Shakti Singh, resident of Daggo Romana in Faridkot, Ranjit singh alias Bhola and Nishan Singh, both residents of Kotkapura.All of them are Dera Sirsa followers.
The suspects will be produced before a local court on Monday, said the police.
