Mohali, May 21, 2021:
Ashika Jain, who passed the Civil Services Examination at young age and now serving as Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), personally went along with the Rapid Response Teams to supervise the distribution of Mission Fateh Kits to home isolated COVID patients in various parts of the district on Friday.
She also interacted with the people who were home isolated and defeated COVID. She reviewed the role of Fateh Kit in their recovery and the efforts made by the district administration for their health care.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Jain visited various places of the district including Jujharnagar and Nayagaon.
On the occasion, the recipients of the Fateh Kit and the people who recovered from COVID thanked the district administration for their support and praised Mrs. Jain saying that they were very happy to see a high rank official coming to ask after their health and seek their feedback. It has boosted their morale.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Jain said that SP (Rural) Ravjot Grewal has been appointed as the Nodal Officer to distribute Mission Fateh Kits to the COVID patients.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that a Fateh Kit contains 18 items including Pulse Oximeter, Digital Thermometer, Medicines, Information Material, Medicine Instructions, Instructions for Patient’s attendant and Includes self-monitoring log charts also. This kit is very helpful in continuously monitoring the health.
For example with the help of pulse oximeter and digital thermometer, the patient can immediately detect the degradation of the health and in case of need patient can immediately seek further treatment with the help of district administration.
Mrs. Jain said that while the teams of the district administration are in touch with the home isolated corona patients and whenever a corona patient is home isolated, the rapid response team contacts the person and provides Fateh Kit.
COVID if detected early can be treated at home and patients may not require hospitalization. One of the advantages of Home Isolation is that patients’ pressure on hospital does not increase much and the treatment of the patients present in the hospital becomes easier.
S.P (Rural) Ravjot Grewal said that along with the above service, food kit is also being provided to the needy. If the home isolated patient or his family has food requirement, they can call at 112 helpline, food will be provided to them.
