Remove all retired bureaucrats from important posts, says Bajwa
Chandigarh, June 18, 2021: Speaking on the existing tension within the Congress party in Punjab, Congress MP Partap Singh Bajwa asked Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to remove all the retired bureaucrats who are presently holding prime posts in the state government.
“All these retired bureaucrats are never loyal to anyone. Other than giving importance to retired Colonel, Captain Amarinder should appoint foot soldiers (leaders) of the party on important posts,” said MP Partap Singh Bajwa while interacting with media.
Bajwa further said that he has even expressed his existing difference of opinion with Captain Amarinder to the three-member panel appointed by party high command.
“I have reported my difference of opinion to the panel. I have told them that the working of the government needs to be corrected. I have also told the party high command that every section should be given equal representation in the party,” he said.
Bajwa also spoke in the support of the Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu, who has lately been commenting has been openly commenting against the working of Captain Amarinder especially on the sacrilege incident.
“When Navjot Singh was about the join Congress, there were many leaders who were against it. Sidhu is like my brother and a fair leader. I did intervene and told the party that Sidhu will be an asset to the party. I agree that the party should give him an important position. Having said that I also believe that every leader needs to prove their loyalty to the party. No Colonel can make be overnight general,” he said.
