Kuljit Nagra wants to meet Capt Amarinder; seeks appointment
Chandigarh, July 21, 2021:
Kuljit Singh Nagra, who has been appointed as a working president of Punjab Congress, is looking to meet chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh to seek his blessings. There is a possibility that Nagra will meet Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday.
Talking to Babushahi on phone, he said, “I was looking to meet our chief minister since I have been appointed as a working president of PPCC. Yesterday, I had sought an appointment from his office, but due to the busy schedule of the chief minister, I was unable to meet him. Today, we went to Amritsar with Navjot Sidhu to pay obesiance at GT and Durgiana Mandir . As soon as i get appointment message , i will go to meet CM as courtesy demands it ."
There are also media reports that Navjot Sidhu camp has assigned the duty of Nagra to invite Captain Amarinder Singh to the installation ceremony of Navjot Sidhu, which is going to be held on July 23. However,Nagra declined to comment on this.
Pertinently, on July 18, AICC had appointed cricketer turned politician Navjot Sidhu as the new president of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC). Along with him, the Congress high command also appointed four working presidents of the PPCC - Kuljit Singh Nagra, Sangat Singh Gilzian, Sukhwinder Singh Danny and Pawan Goel.
