How much does an agricultural household in Punjab earn monthly?
New Delhi, July 24, 2021: The average monthly income per agricultural household from different agriculture activities in Punjab, for all sizes of landholding is Rs 12520. This was revealed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare in reply to the question put by Congress MP Partap Singh Bajwa.
The data shared by the ministry contains the state-wise monthly income information as the land size holding of the agriculture household.
The data further reveals that the agricultural household owning less than 0.1 hectares or less on average earns less than Rs 467.
Likewise, the household with land between 0.1 to 0.40 hectares on an average earn Rs 931 and those who possess land between 2.01 to 4 hectares is Rs 23, 503
Similarly, state’s agricultural households that possess land between 1.01 to 2 hectares on average earns 13418, and landholders between 4 to 10 hectares on an average earn Rs 39076 monthly.
The figures state that the agricultural households owning land of 10 hectares or above on an average earn Rs 86414.
