PAU celebrates ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahaustav’
Ludhiana, August 3, 2021: The All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) Centre under the Department of Human Development and Family Studies, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), celebrated “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahautsav” by organizing various competitions and plantation drive for the students of Government Senior Secondary School, PAU.
A total of 45 school children from Government Senior Secondary School, PAU participated in the competitions. The theme of competition was “Aatmanirbhar Bharat.” All the participants exhibited their creativity, ideas and knowledge very well through slogans, essays and drawing.
Dr Rashmi Upreti, Scientist, AICRP on Human Development and Family Studies, PAU, sensitized students on the topic of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The plantation drive was carried out in the school premises, in which students, teachers and Principal of the school were present. All participants pledged to contribute actively towards increasing the green cover inside the school premises for pristine natural habitat.
Dr Upreti emphasized on the importance of plantation and said that taking care of them will rejuvenate the young minds and also help to build a sustainable ecosystem for future generations.
Later, the best three drawings, along with slogans and essays, were chosen and awarded prizes.
