Of course she will live always in her poetry, prose, her largesse to friends and admirers. This picture of a playful meeting with her in July 2019 and met her once before Covid times when she was ill and on oxygen but she specially dressed up in her new, black suit embellished with silver work to greet me. She battled with illness bravely and what comes to me now is her gleeful laughter. Lots of love dear Padma, I will miss you calling me 'Kallo!'. With you goes away a cherished part of my life, my dearest Padma,” Nirupama posted on her Facebook page.
