Manish Gulati demands more security, writes to CM (Watch Video)
Chandigarh, August 4, 2021: Manisha, chairperson Punjab State Women Commission has requested Punjab Government to upgrade her security arrangements.
In a letter to Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Manisha Gulati said that she is facing challenges in carrying out her duties as the chairman women commission due to inadequate security arrangements.
“It is brought to your kind concern; the teething problem being faced by me as a chairperson. It is very difficult being a woman to function without inadequate security in view of my frequent visits across the state and smooth functioning of my office as well,” read the letter to Captain.
She further stated that around 500 to 600 people visit her office every day and she receive approximately 400-500 complaints through email, WhatsApp, by post, and by personal appearance of the complainants.
“I like to express concern about my safety and hence I feel the need of more security. I would be grateful, if you could assign 5+1 Security Personnel, 4 lady constables, and one police escorts or pilot in addition of the existing security,” she demanded.
