Covid-19 vaccination or RT-PCR –ve report must for pilgrims visiting religious places
Ferozepur, August 10, 2921: The pilgrims visiting religious places in Himachal Pradesh must have both doses of Covid-19 vaccination certificate or RT-PCR negative report and the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) will ensure that the pilgrims must have these certificates, said Gurpal Singh Chahal, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur.
DC directed the RTA to check the vehicles going to Himachal Pradesh from the district to ensure that the drivers including the pilgrims in the vehicle must have a negative report of RT-PCR (not older than 72 hrs) or Covid-19 vaccination certificate. HP district administration has issued strict instructions in this regard and ‘No Mask-No Darshan’ policy will be strictly enforced during this period.
DC said that these guidelines have been issued to the pilgrims expressing concern over the third possible movement of Covid-19 during "Sawan Naratas" till August 17, 2021. He said, during this time social distance will be maintained through awareness, education and legal means. There will be thermal screening and sanitation, hand washing facilities at the entrances of religious places/temples. He appealed to the people to ensure that the instructions issued by the government are followed to prevent further transmission of the virus.
