Bharat Bhushan Ashu has broken all records of corruption in the state : Bikram Singh Majithia
Mocks Congress promise of providing ghar ghar naukri to 72 lakh households
Lashes out at Kejriwal for trying to mislead Punjabis with fake Delhi model
Welcomes leaders in party fold
Ludhiana, August 14, 2021: Former minister Bikram Singh Majithia today said Punjab Food and Supply Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu had broken all records of corruption by procuring paddy from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar at Rs. 1000 per quintal selling it at 1883 per quintal to make ill gotten wealth of thousands of crores of rupees.
Bikram Majithia was presiding over a function to welcome several leaders from other parties in SAD fold.
Majithia said it was utterly shameful that the Congress government had looted Punjab with open hands and most corrupt ministers were given clean chit by Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh. He said what Ashu did was in public domain still yet no action was being taken against him or any other corrupt minister. “ We demand the immediate sack of Ashu and initiation of a CBI enquiry into his corrupt deeds as well as corruption done by officers of his department under his patronage.
Ridiculing the ghar ghar naukri promise made by Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh to youth by taking false oath on the Gutka Sahib, the SAD leader said “in last 72 years only around 6-7 lakh have got government jobs in the State but the Congress promised 72 lakh jobs because there are 72 lakh households for all households in the State which were to be given in just five years”. He said the truth was that Capt Amarinder Singh cheated not only youth but every section of society with tall and fake promises and failed to deliver even on a single one of them.
The former Minister said on the other hand SAD-BSP alliance had adopted a 13 point agenda purely on merit basis which it was committed to implement once it formed the government in 2022 assembly elections. He said “we will provide 1 lakh government jobs and 10 lakh jobs in private sector to youth to remove widespread unemployment” . He said similarly under Mata Khivi ji scheme “we will provide Rs. 2000 per month to women heads of families of Blue card holders. He said similarly other announcements including 400 units free power to every household were also aimed at social welfare of people and development of Punjab.
Lashing out at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the SAD leader said Kejriwal was trying to mislead Punjabis with his fake Delhi model. He said the fact of the matter was that Kejriwal was charging the highest power bills for agriculture consumers whereas in Punjab free power was provided to farmers for agriculture use. He said similarly Kejriwal was charging full bill from consumers who consumed 200 units under his free power scheme which he wanted to implement in Punjab whereas Punjab was providing 200 units free to SC/BC and other sections of society including families of Freedom fighters.
