'Azadi Ki Pehli Ladai Ka Shaheed Smark' being built in Ambala will be equipped with modern technology : Anil Vij
Chandigarh, September 17, 2021: Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said that 'Azadi Ki Pehli Ladai Ka Shaheed Smark' which will based on first war of independence of 1857 will be equipped with state-of-the-art features. It will be built with modern technology.The Minister directed to constitute a committe of officials related to various departments, institutions and related university so that the memorial can be setup as soon as possible.
Vij was holding a meeting with the authorities to review the progress of 'Azadi Ki Pehli Ladai Ka Shaheed Smark', being built in Ambala Cantonment here today.
The Home Minister said that a committee of historians related to 1857 freedom struggle will be formed, in which they will suggest according to their own study regarding various artefacts to prepare this memorial. Similarly, a team of officials of Pandit Lakhmichand State University will be formed so that they can inspect the memorial site to give various suggestions to the committee made at the state level. This team will also give suggestions for the maintenance and evaluation of various display items installed in the memorial. Similarly, the curator will also be appointed to establish a memorial.
Memorial equipped with modern technique*
Vij was apprised that this monument will be equipped with modern technology to tell the history. It will be told in three parts, there will be a information on war of independence of 1857 in this memorial, in which 1857 revolution in Ambala was started, where the history was started of the 1857 struggle. Where was the revolution of 1857 in Haryana, in the second phase, it will be described and in the third phase, where the freedom struggle was fought in India, story of the queen of Jhansi, along with other revolutionaries.
Indoor navigation system will be for the convenience of people in the memorial*
It was informed that for the convenience of people coming to this memorial, the Indore Navigation System will be provided. Similarly, the tale of the battle of 1857 will also be told digitally and the turn of events in the next 90 years will be shown.
In the monument, there will also be a widespread description of the economic, political, religious and social conditions of 1857*

Installation of the digital Sankalp Satmbh in the memorial*
It will also have a digital Sankalp Satmbh so that the people coming to take a pledge. It was informed in the meeting that this Sankalp Satmbh will be one of its kind digital Sankalp Satmbh in which various types of light will brighten as people will take pledge. Similarly, the rare pictures of painters will also be put on the walls of the memorial, in which the first battle of independence will be display.
Open air theater will also be made in the memorial*
An open air theater is also being made in it that the achievements of the Haryana government will be shown and the light and sound will also be there.
The memorial will be prepared at a cost of approximately Rs 300 crore*
The memorial will be built at a cost of approximately Rs 300 crore. This memorial will be built on a land spanning 22 acres and possibly it will be ready next year.
National level monument will boost tourism*
Sh. Vij said that in terms of tourism, the national level memorial will leave a mark and it will come on the map of the country. Ambala's pride will increase, people going through here will not go without seeing this memorial. There will be many such scenes that people will be surprised. He said that freedom fighters and unsung heros will also get a new identity at the national and international level of the first independence struggle 1857.
In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary of the Public Works Department, Sh. Alok Nigam, Director General, Department of Information and Public Relations, Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal gave suggestions. A presentation was also given before the Home Minister in the meeting.
