Dr Seema Sharma DRM inaugurates Oxygen Plant at Divisional Railway Hospital at Ferozepur
Ferozepur, September 18, 2021: Oxygen Plant was inaugurated at Divisional Railway Hospital Firozpur on Saturday by Divisional Railway Manager Ferozepur, Dr. Seema Sharma.
Speaking on the occasion, DRM said, with the commissioning of this plant with a capacity of 161 liters per minute, now there will be no shortage of oxygen for the infected patients and the treatment of railway workers and their beneficiaries will become easier. Oxygen will continue to be supplied even on normal days.
She further said, a separate COVID ward of 25 beds is already established in the Divisional Hospital, where the ICU ward has been constructed by laying oxygen pipelines and this can be increased to 20 per cent in emergencies. Now with the installation of the plant in the hospital, there will be no need to change the oxygen cylinders and oxygen will be supplied to the patients through pipelines. The facility of 2 oxygen cylinders and 1 oxygen concentrator each is available in 12 health units located in the division. Sufficient corona-related medicines have been stocked, she added.
DRM said, under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, railway hospitals of Ferozepur division have been registered and today this scheme has been implemented and the beneficiaries of this scheme will be able to get their treatment done in railway hospitals also.
On this occasion, Chief Medical Superintendent Usha Kiran, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Balveer Singh and B. P. Singh and other officers were present.
