Changing CM will not change the issues, says Dhindsa
Captain can't run away from promises made to people by resigning, says Dhindsa
Chandigarh, September 18, 2021:
Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) President and Rajya Sabha Member Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa on Saturday said that the long-running feud in Punjab Congress and after that today the resignation of Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh from office is nothing but a disgrace shown to the people of Punjab.
He said that the Congress government led by Capt. Amarinder Singh had not been able to do anything for the state in the last four and half years.
He further questioned this as now with few months left in the Assembly elections what magic wand would the next Chief Minister of Congress government have, which he will use to resolve the problems of the people of the State?
Capt. Amarinder Singh has not left his farmhouse for four and a half years but he left the people of Punjab homeless.
Besides this, the Captain, while maintaining his friendship with the Badals, committed many anti-people acts, said Dhindsa.
He further asserted that Capt. Amarinder Singh has to pay the price for what he has done with Punjab.
Dhindsa said that Capt. Amarinder Singh could not run away from his responsibilities by resigning, he should fulfil the promises he had made to the people of Punjab.
He said that Congress High Command had played its political card ahead of the Punjab Assembly elections. With this, Congress has turned a blind eye to all its failures and tried to establish a political platform for elections, added Dhindsa.
He said that the people of Punjab are no longer going to be fooled by any Congress leader and would teach a lesson by defeating every traditional party including Congress in the forthcoming Assembly elections.
Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa said that given all these developments Punjab was in dire need of a strong regional party as a third alternative for which today Punjab needs Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) is ready to serve Punjab as a strong regional party in future.
He said that without the ground realities the decisions of Delhi Darbar could never benefit Punjab.
For the betterment of Punjab, there is a dire need for people who know the issues of Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiyat very well and only a strong regional party can bring a strong alternative in the state, added Dhindsa.
