UT Adviser Inaugurates ‘Vanijya Utsav’
Chandigarh, September 22, 2021:
Department of Industries, Chandigarh Administration organized “Vanijya Utsav” at Hotel Mountview, Sector 10, as a part of weeklong celebrations being observed by the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Govt. of India, as Vanijya Saptah to commemorate 75 years of India’s Independence as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on Wednesday.
This event was organized in collaboration with Director General of Foreign Trade, Ludhiana, Sports Goods Export Promotion Council and Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India.
The full day programme was inaugurated by Adviser to the Administrator Dharam Pal, and was followed by presentations and panel discussions on Strategies to improve exports of goods and services from Chandigarh. In his address to the industries and exporters, the Adviser said that Chandigarh is committed to bring all-round development and reform in its administration to promote export. He also informed that export policy for Chandigarh was in the final stage of completion and will bring new opportunities to our exporters to enhance their share in the world market.
Event was also attended by Dr. Vijay Namdeorao Zade, Finance Secretary, Chandigarh Administration, Jagjit Singh, Director Industries, Dr. Manjeet Bhatoya, Deputy Director, Director General of Foreign Trade, Ludhiana and Representatives of Industries Associations and Chambers of Commerce and Industries. Stalls were also set up at the venue by the major exporters and Startups of Chandigarh.
