Govt doing grim humour with unemployed in name of employment: Dinesh Chadha
Government website and portal regarding jobs is sham: AAP
Chandigarh, September 24, 2021: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab has completely dispelled the claim of the ruling Congress to provide jobs to 2.5 lakh unemployed youth of Punjab on the basis of 'Ghar Ghar Rozgar' program by presenting figures and facts.
The AAP alleged that the Congress government of Punjab was not only making fun of the unemployed people of Punjab but also cheating on the basis of fake figures.
The AAP accused newly-appointed Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi of following the path of Captain Amarinder Singh by giving 'jobs' through ‘Ghar-Ghar Rozgar’ program in Kapurthala on Thursday.
Addressing a press conference held at the party headquarters here on Friday, RTI activists and spokespersons Dinesh Chadha, Neel Garg and Malvinder Singh Kang said the Chief Minister Channi had distributed employment appointment letters in Kapurthala, but made a lewd joke on the youth in the name of jobs.
They said in these jobs, 30,000 insurance agents, 50,000 salesmen, 5,000 delivery boys (job form filling), 5,000 data entry operators, 6,000 telecallers, 9,000 security guards and in addition to these, 10,000 posts including electrician, painter, welder, gardner, watchman and other jobs of similar level. For this level of jobs, the youth of Punjab have no shortage at their own level, so what relief did the government provide?
They said the Congress in its manifesto had promised to provide employment to 50 lakh youth under Ghar Ghar Rozgar; but now even the claim of providing 2.5 lakh jobs is not true. In this, 1.5 lakh jobs are of wage work. These include mechanics, sweepers, helpers, domestic servants, watchmen, washmen (for washing cars) and other similar jobs.
Dinesh Chadha argued that when the Congress government on the basis of compassionate grounds, is appointing the sons, daughters and sons-in-law of its MLAs, ministers and other leaders on the posts of Tehsildar, Excise Inspector and other posts; then why jest with the youth of common houses?
Dinesh Chadha also challenged the information related to employment uploaded on the government portal and website of the Punjab government with evidence.
He said the opportunities given to the youth for these jobs include information about the needs of people at Hotel Royal Plaza in Ferozepur and various beauty parlors.Apart from this, there is also a job in need of a sweeper in the 'Kultham' Hatti of Phagwara.
“Even the Punjab government website has individual names apart from various firms. It also mentions the need of two clerks for Raghav Bhalla and Bobby, with the condition of graduation. Another job of cook with the condition of graduation is also included, said Chadha. He demanded from the Punjab Government that if it has released the job data on its website and portal, then the names and addresses of the youth who got the jobs should also be uploaded there,” he said.
Chadha demanded action against those who created fake data and shared the employment policy with the youth. He said that Channi was expected to do some good; but he has made his nefarious plans clear by doing a drama of giving employment in Kapurthala.
“The Congress had claimed 50 lakh jobs for Punjab but Chief Minister Channi broke the hopes of the youth by making a hollow announcement of giving only 1 lakh jobs to the claim of this figure. Dinesh Chadha said on the formation of the AAP government in 2022, the party will prepare a comprehensive road map including discussions with the youth to generate employment,” he added.
He claimed that all income resources are being occupied by politicians and ministers in Punjab and said that to generate employment; first of all, it is necessary to eliminate the mafia rule. The problems of Punjab will be resolved after the formation of the AAP government, he added.
Dinesh Chadha shared how he ‘exposed’ Punjab govt
I called on the mobile numbers taken from the Punjab government's portal and website. By calling the owner of MT Autocraft firm of Rohtak and Parwanoo, I asked if they had 120 vacancies for jobs. On this, the owner of MT Autocraft said that they had not given any such advertisement and called the information false. Similarly, the name of Jaishree Polymer (Pune) was also on the portal, where about 400 mechanic trainees were needed. But the owner of the firm replied in surprise whether the Punjab government would now run through us, told Chadha. A similar reply was received regarding the vacancy of 30 posts of technical experts in Shine-Way Software Solutions, Pathankot. The owner of the firm told him that he does not even have a place to accommodate 3 people, so where and why will he accommodate 30 people with a monthly salary of Rs 7,500,” Dinesh Chadha shared.
