Sidhu indirectly targets Channi Govt, seeks Sonia’s intervention on 13-point agenda
“Last chance for Punjab’s resurrection & redemption," Sidhu writes Sonia Gandhi'
Chandigarh, October 17, 2021: Amid the growing speculation of differences between Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi and Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh, the latter has indirectly targetted the Channi government to have failed to resolve various issues faced by the people in Punjab.
Two days after meeting with senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in National Capital and claiming that all the issues have been sorted out, Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu has now written a letter to senior Congress president Sonia Gandhi seeking her intervention on the implementation of the 13-point agenda for Punjab.
Highlighlighting the issues, the senior Congress leader from Punjab has sought a personal audience with Sonia Gandhi to present her 13 point agenda to the part of Congress manifesto.
In the letter, Sidhu also targetted former Congress Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and present chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi.
“I express with a lot of pain in my heart that this is Punjab’s last chance for resurrection and redemption. The issues of Punjab as very well understood by you and signified by the 18-point agenda given to the last Chief Minister are equally relevant today,” Sidhu wrote.
He further requested Sonia Gandhi to give direction to the Punjab government headed by Charanjit Singh Channi to act in the best interests of the people.
He shared the letter on his official Twitter handle.
