Health Department has left no stone unturned in the development of Punjab and Mohali constituency: Sidhu
Mohali being established as the Medical Hub of State
Mohali, October 25, 2021:
Former Health Minister Punjab Balbir Singh Sidhu strongly reacted to the factless remarks of Sukhbir Singh Badal and termed the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) as a lair party which has been betraying the farmers by looting Punjab for 10 years and forcibly taking over every sector of trade.
His words came after Sukhbir Badal slammed him and alleged that shamlat lands in Punjab were under capture of the Congress government. Badal on Sunday hit out at Balbir Sidhu for “facilitating forcible takeover of prime village land in Mohali’s Bari village for construction of a private hospital”.
Balbir Sidhu said that the Akali Dal was ideologically a ruined party which had mortgaged its ideology to the BJP and the Center. He said that SAD takes every decision at the behest of BJP.
During a press conference here on Monday, he said that Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal was making baseless allegations against him while he (Sidhu) had left no stone unturned in the development of Health Department, Punjab as well as Mohali constituency.
He said that no other Akali MLA had given such grants for the development of Mohali constituency. He said that Prof. Chandumajra during his tenure as MP gave all the grants to his near and dear ones. He said that now the Akalis are pointing fingers at him as they know that they are losing in the elections. He said that allegations leveled against him regarding land and property grabbing are false and if Chandumajra is right then he should prove it. He said that on the other hand Chandumajra himself has wrongfully grabbed the property.
He said that his aim was only to develop the constituency but the Akalis had taken over every business including transport.
He further said that SAD had failed miserably on important issues and made an alliance with BJP which is in the process of breaking the backbone of agriculture in the country. He said that SAD had betrayed Punjab and farmers by passing three agriculture bills.
Sidhu said that today Sukhbir Badal, president SAD was showing the people of Punjab the dream of medical education whereas while in power he had deliberately ignored the setting up of Medical College Mohali. He said that his (Sidhu) mission is to develop the Medical College, Nursing College, New District Hospital and all round development of the area in Mohali which he has completed and the day is not far when Mohali will be known as Medical Hub.
Harkesh Chand Sharma, Chairman Market Committee Kharar, Amrik Singh Somal, Senior Deputy Mayor, Kuljit Singh Bedi, Deputy Mayor, Naresh Kansal, eminent industrialist and G.S. Riyar were also present during the press conference.
