OP Soni fixes deadline for completion of Maternal and Child Hospital Kharar and District Hospital Fatehgarh Sahib
Deputy CM reviews ongoing major projects of the Health Department

Chandigarh, November 26, 2021: In order to provide better health services to the people of Punjab, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. OP Soni, on Friday directed Health Department officials to complete the work of Maternal and Child Hospital being set up at Civil Hospital, Kharar and District Hospital of Fatehgarh Sahib by next month.
Chairing a high-level meeting here at Punjab Bhawan, Soni, who is the minister in charge of the Health & Family Welfare Department, also asked the officials to achieve the deadlines for completion of all major projects of the health department to make available these healthcare facilities to the people at the earliest.
He said that there would be no scarcity of funds as the Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi led state Government was committed to providing the best health services to the people of the state.
Asking the officials to ensure utilization of the funds judiciously to complete all the projects in the stipulated time frame, Soni also reviewed various programs run by the department, while directing officials to race against time to meet the targets.
The work should be prioritized for the early completion of the projects and any laxity in the quality of projects and delay in execution would not be tolerated at any cost, he stressed.
Secretary Health and Family Welfare Vikas Garg, Mission Director National Health Mission Kumar Rahul, MD PHSC Bhupinder Singh, Director Health and Family Welfare Dr. Andesh Kang and Director Health Services (Family Welfare) Dr. Om Parkash Gojra also attended the meeting.
