MLA, DC hand over Rs.10 lac cheque to family of journalist who died of COVID-19 in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, November 30, 2021: On Tuesday, Parminder Singh Pinky, MLA and Davinder Singh, Deputy Commissioner personally visited the family members of journalist Rattan Lal – a Photographer and Journalist of Living India Channel, who died due to Coronavirus on May 11, 2021– to hand over a cheque of Rs.10 lac. Rattan Lal was an upright fine photographer and journalist committed to his profession with an astute sense of nuances.
Journalist community and DPRO Arun Choudhary were also present while handing over the ex-gratia cheque to Mrs.Devki, wife Rattan Lal who succumbed to Coronavirus.
Parminder Singh Pinki said the Punjab government will always stand with the family of Rattan Lal and in the future also every possible help will be provided to the family. He said that the honesty and hard work done by the late Ratan Lal in journalism would always be remembered.
Deputy Commissioner Davinder Singh remembering Rattan Lal said he was a hardworking, good and virtuous man who continued to do his job with utmost sincerity and diligence during the Coronavirus.
Block Samiti Chairman Balvir Bath, Press Club President Ferozepur Mandeep Kumar and senior journalists were present on this occasion also thanked the Punjab government for the release of ex-gratia to Coronavirus victims.
