Canada: Park named after first turbaned Sikh MP

Brampton, December 8, 2021: A park in Brampton has been named after first turbaned Sikh Member of Parliament in Canada Gurbaksh Singh Malhi.
Born in Chugha village of Moga district, Malhi has proved to be a gem of the community and earned pride for whole community.
Park in his name was inaugurated on December 07,2021. Achievements of Malhi have paved the way for all of our MPs today to travel to Ottawa.Malhi remained elected MP to Federal Parliament of Canada for 6 terms.
The entire Malhi family was greeted on the occasion by the entire community. Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown, Provincial Liberal Leader Dell Ducca , MPP candidate from Brampton Harinder Malhi , Manpreet Brar mpp candidate from Windser Essex,Regional Councilor Brampton Gurpreet Dhillon, City Councilor Harkirat Singh, Former City Councilor Vicky Dhillon and Councilor Jeevan Gill from Windsor were present on the occasion. A large number of media persons were present on the occasion.
