Unknown calls claiming to be deceased's kin add mystery in sacrilege case

Chandigarh, December 20, 2021: While the Punjab Police is yet to ascertain the identity of the two accused killed in the Amritsar and Kapurthala over the sacrilege incident, multiple phone calls from people who claimed to be deceased kin has only added the mystery in both the cases.
On Monday, Kapurthala police received a call from a woman from Bihar who claimed that the deceased was her brother. The woman told the police that her brother had been missing for some time and the family was searching for him.
SSP Kapurthala Kamalpreet Singh Khak however shared that when the police exchanged pictures and identity of the man with the woman, she said that he was not his brother.
It is to be noted that the said woman has earlier called Amritsar police but after inquiry said that the accused killed in Golden Temple case was not his brother.
After the Kapurthala police, even some media persons in Kapurthala shared that they received a call from unknown people who claimed that be deceased's kin.
Babushahi Bureau Correspondent in Kapurthala tried to reach the person who claimed to be from Bihar who called many media person from the same number.
The unidentified man who claimed that the deceased's brother in the Kapurthala case however, failed to give any clear answer to the questions about the indentity of the brother and details asked by the Correspondent.
At the time, when mystery remains behind the perpetrators of the sacrilege incident inside the Golden Temple, the unknown calls from people claiming to be deceased's kin have increased the mystery in both the cases.
