All 22 districts of Haryana will soon get National Mobile Medical Unit: Anil Vij
We can call it a 'mini Hospital on wheel" - Anil Vij

Haryana Health Minister,Anil Vij said that all the 22 districts of the state are going to get a National Mobile Medical Unit soon, which we can call a "mini hospital on wheel" in a way. He said that apart from admitting patients in this unit, there are other facilities including OPD facility, fully operated laboratory, oxygen facility, testing facility. This mobile unit will go to the villages and towns of the state within the stipulated time period and will provide health facilities to the people. He said that a total of 47 mobile units would work in the state, under which each district would have two mobile units.
Vij was presiding over a meeting with the officers of the Health Department and the officials of the Haryana Civil Medical Service Association here today.
Giving information about the facilities of this mobile unit, the Health Minister said that container testing space, vaccination place, pharmacy space and laboratory space have also been given in the mobile unit. An Intercom facility has also been provided in this unit for communication between the driver and other personnel. Some things in this unit have been kept in the form of foldable so that they can be used as per the requirement and the unit also has facility of generator, LED TV, medical equipment like emergency kit along with nebulizer, stretcher among others. Similarly, it also has the facility of a video camera and a GPS system.
Vij said that it has four fire extinguishers, five fixed chairs, one stool, hooks, medical cabinet, water tank, stand with washbasin, lights, fan, testing area for OPD, dustbin, air-conditioner, inverter, LED lights.
Instructions to take action to set up one more genome sequencing machine in the state- Vij
Haryana Health Minister, Anil Vij directed the officers of the Health Department to take action to set up one more Genome Sequencing Machine in the state so that the genome could be tested for corona infection. He said that this machine is proposed to be installed at Panchkula so that the districts of North Haryana can be covered from here. It was informed in the meeting that 140 cases were sent for sequencing of genome in the Genome Sequencing Machine installed at Rohtak, out of which 6 cases of Omicron have been confirmed while others are of variants.
Instructions to take Covid antiviral drug
Similarly, in the meeting, Vij gave instructions to the officials regarding taking the antiviral drug, the minister was informed that a committee has been constituted regarding the purchase of antiviral drug Molnupiravir and will soon take a decision on it. Similarly, the Health Minister directed the officers to take up the task of transporting essential medicines related to Corona such as Remedivir to the field so that any emergency can be dealt with. It was informed in the meeting that adequate quantities of medicines and other equipment and tools related to Covid are available with the Health Department.
Increase testing of Covid, then only corona will be prevented
In the meeting, the Health Minister instructed the officers to increase the testing of Covid. On this, Sh. Vij was apprised that at present about 44 thousand tests are being done per day, then the Minister while directing the officers that the testing capacity should be increased to more than 50 thousand tests per day.
Health Minister can check the equipment by visiting hospitals, PHC and CHC anytime
Vij told the officers that all the PSA oxygen plants, ventilators, ICU beds, ventilator beds and other equipment in the field should be properly maintained and operated as they can visit these hospitals, PHCs and CHCs anytime.
Positive interaction with the office bearers of HCMS Association – Vij
In the meeting, the Health Minister interacted with the officials of the Haryana Civil Medical Service Association and said that a positive meeting was held with the Association in which various issues were discussed, on which the officers of the Association appeared satisfied. Similarly, Vij informed that a meeting with the office bearers of the Association related to financial issues is to be held on January 10, 2022 with the Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, Sh. TVSN Prasad, only after that the final decision will be taken on the demands of the Association.
Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, Sh. Rajiv Arora, Director General, Health Services, Dr. Veena Singh and office bearers of Haryana Civil Medical Service Association were present in the meeting.
