COVID Control Room set up at district level in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, January 22, 2022: Though the situation involving COVID-19 in the State was less threatening now, the State was not fully rid of COVID-19 and a low level of virus transmission was continuing in the State. In such a situation, it becomes very important to follow the protocol to break the spread of the virus chain, said Dr.Rajinder Arora, Civil Surgeon in a virtual meeting with the health officials, to review the status. He said a Covid Control Room (CCR) has also been set up at the district headquarters to provide validated guidance and support to the patients
Dr.Sushma Thakkar, Dr.Meenakshi Abrol, Dr. Rakesh Pal, and Dr.Deepti Arora were also present on this occasion.
Civil Surgeon said, Covid vaccination is a definite measure to prevent corona, but nowadays it is very important to wear masks in public places and maintain social distance to prevent the spread of corona. It is important that we all diligently follow these guidelines to minimize the risk of spreading the virus, he added.
He said, a Covid Control Room has been set up at the district level with the phone number -6239722510 to obtain any information and assistance regarding Covid such as availability of Covid testing centers and ambulances, and guide a caller on the process for availing these services. In the review meeting, he also asked the officials to ramp up the vaccination drive as with the maximum vaccination, we can put control over the existing transmission movement of the virus.
