AAP complaints to EC against Sirsa for circulating fake news
-AAP lodges FIR and a complaint to election commission against BJP leader for spreading false information
Chandigarh, February 12, 2022: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) lodged a complaint against BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa, to Punjab Election Commission and to SHO Moahli, for spreading fake information about AAP.
"Manjinder Sisra shared a news story on his twitter handle that says Kejriwal had said that in Punjab 10 year old vehicle won’t be allowed in AAP government, which is fabricated information and is shared to promote ill-will and feeling of hostility against Aam Aadmi Party," read the press statement released by party.
In a statement issued from the party headquarters informing about the same, it is said that Aam Aadmi Party has demanded the election commission to direct Manjinder Sirsa to remove the said content from his twitter handle and they filed an FIR against him because such provocative and disinformation can lead to serious implications and repercussions, if left unchecked.
"With each passing day Aam Aadmi Party is gaining ground in Punjab and the people of Punjab want AAP, and opponents cannot find any valid reason to target AAP because Kejriwal government has done tremendous work in Delhi. That is why some politicians are using fabricated and fake news against the party," read the press statement released by the party.
