28 border girls get placement in Bangalore through DBEE Ferozepur
Ferozepur, May 18, 2022: As many as 28 young aspiring girls from this border town were selected by an IT company Shahi Export, Bangalore.
Deputy Commissioner, Amrit Singh made it a point to reach the railway station to greet the girls before boarding the train to Bangalore and wished them the best of luck, to start a new journey, by offering them, sweets.
These girls had undergone a three-month vocational and professional training being run by the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises (DBEE), Ferozepur and now they have a bright future ahead of them after getting this employment breakthrough, said DC.
She said it was a matter of great pride that 28 girls from the Border area were given IT training and got an opportunity to work in a company Shahi Export, Bangalore. She urged that more girls must come forward to get various vocational and professional training being run by the DBEE so that they too could lead a comfortable life.
Meanwhile, one of the selected girls said, I had received information that the DBEE, provides training and job opportunities. I then approached and got a chance for placement. Adding she said that her home conditions were not good and that she needed the job. She thanked the district administration, for their support for the job and the DC for especially paying visits at the railway station to see off us for Banglore.
Placement Officer, DBEE, and Mission Manager, PSDM Sarabjit Singh informed that during the last 39 camps were organized in which around 100 employers visited. Against 19,053 vacancies, 12,188 participated in the selection of 6,868 candidates.
