BSF foils bid to smuggle contraband, recovers 3 kg heroin, pistol
Ferozepur, June 25, 2022: On Friday, while the farmer was cultivating his land with a tractor ahead of the border security fence, Border Security Force – known as India’s First Line of Defence - troops of Amritsar sector recovered 3 packets of contraband items suspected to be heroin wrapped in yellow adhesive tape along with one pistol, one magazine and 5 rounds (.30 bore) near IB in the farming fields in the area falling near village Bharopal under Amritsar district. The gross weight of recovered 3 packets of contraband is appx - 3.020 Kgs.
Vigilant BSF troops are regularly carrying out area domination in their area, to foil the nefarious attempts of anti-national elements to smuggle contraband.
