Ferozepur, June 27, 2022: Farmers out fit under the banner of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee (KMSC) condemned the arrest of Teesta Setalvad and ban on the ‘SYL’ song of Sidhu Musewala.

Whereas Moosewala’s posthumous song ‘Sutlej-Yamuna Link’ SYL canal has been banned in India. Sidhu Moosewala was killed on May 29 at village Jawaharke.
Kisan Mazdoor Jathebandi on the arrest of Teesta Setalvad and Sidhu Musewala's song S.Y.L. Strongly condemned the ban 27.6.2022; Kisan Mazdoor Jathebandi has arrested social activist Teesta Setalvad on false charges at the behest of Modi government and Sidhu Musewala's song S.Y.L.
KMSC Punjab President Satnam Singh Pannu and Secretary Sarwan Singh Pandher in a joint statement condemned the arrest of Teesta Setalvad by registering a false case, which speaks of dictatorial rule in the country and similarly banning Sidhu Musewala’s song on Punjab issue, which too is a clear picture of repressive government policy.
We demand to reverse both the undemocratic decisions – withdrawing the ban on song and releasing the social activist.
The farmer leaders appealed to the people of the country to get rid of the illusion of a democratically elected government and call on them to unite and fight for the preservation of democratic values and communal harmony in the country.
