Sultanpur Lodhi, July 3, 2022: In a trafic incident, two children died after drinking drinking poisonous lizard tea at Takian village in the Mand area of Sultanpur Lodhi.
The other family members of the family have taken seriously ill and been rushed to to hospital. The children died during the treatment in the hospital.
As per information, five members of the same family have fallen seriously ill after allegedly drinking poisonous lizard tea.
The deceased have been identified as Shivraj Singh son of Gurpreet Singh of village Takian aged 6 years and Damanpreet Kaur daughter of Gurpreet Singh. The bodies of the two children have been kept in the mortuary of Sultanpur Lodhi Civil Hospital for postmortem by the police.
It is learned that a group of five members of the family drank home-made tea in the past, after which their health deteriorated. It is said that a lizard fell in the tea. Due to which the whole family drank poisonous tea and in a short time the whole family got sick.
Two children Shivraj and Damanpreet Kaur have died while three members of the family father Gurpreet Singh, mother Baljit Kaur and youngest daughter Navreet Kaur are currently undergoing treatment.
Relatives of the family and villagers urged the government and social organizations should help his family in this hour of grief.
