DC Ferozepur, border village girls celebrate Rakshabandan with BSF Jawans at Hussaniwala Border
Ferozepur, August 11, 2022: Rakshabandhan is the festival of trust and affection wherein sisters tie Rakhi to their brothers for their well-being and long life.
District Administration Ferozepur organised a special Rakhi function for the BSF Jawansat Hussaniwala Border outpost at Indo-Pakistan border.
Mrs Amrit Singh, Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur was also present at the occasion and she was seen tying Rakhi to the Jawans. The girls from border villages of GattiRajoKe, JalloKe, HajareWala tied Rakhi to the BSF Jawans.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that “These Jawans are always on duty and away from their families at the time of all festivals. On this special day, they must be missing the presence of their sisters, so as an expression of love, affection, gratitude and solidarity, we have come here to tie Rakhis to them.
Border Security Forces are not only protecting their own sisters but every citizen of the Country, she added.
Jawans were touched by this gesture and said that they were grateful to the District Administration especially the Deputy Commissioner and they felt as if their sisters were with them today. Female Constables of BSF posted tied Rakhi to Punjab Police Personnels and expressed their affections for them.
Berinder Kumar 2nd in Command 136 Bn BSF, Karnipal Singh Rathore AC, Inspector Gurdeep Singh with the Jawan and Rattandeep Sandhu DPO Ferozepur, Veena Rani, Surinder Kaur, Kuljinder Kaur, Tajinder Singh, Abhishek and staff of GattiRajoke School were present at the occasion.
