Social activists helping grow sports among youths, donates Hockey sticks in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, August 12, 2022: Adding another feather to the social activity, Vipul Narang – a social activist in association with Mayank Foundation, honoured the concept conceived by another social activist today by presenting hockey sticks to 11 youths - who have passion for sports but can’t afford - along with National Flag, as a part of celebrations of 75th Independence of India – Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav.
The idea was conceived in the mind of social activists, when they happened to visit the Astroturf – Hockey Stadium in the existing stadium, when few hockey lovers were off the ground due to shortage of sticks. Rubel, Hockey Coach when contacted appealed for arranging the same and it was instantly decided by Vipul Narang and Mayank Foundation to go ahead with handing over the sticks for the sports lovers.
Added here, the Ferozepur stadium has produced a number of players including Dhyan Chand – known as magician of hockey and Gagandeep.
Ashok Behal, Secretary Red Cross Society said, providing equipment to the sports lovers, especially who have passion but can’t afford the equipment, while the people like Vipul Narang and Deepak Sharma founder Mayank Foundation feel great but at the same time, the sports lovers at the receiving end too feel it fantastic and we can call it win, win, win.
Speaking on the occasion, Vipul Narang said, Sports is probably one of the best things for a young child. It is hoped that Ferozepur once again will be in limelight on the sports pages, if with our small efforts, we could produce good hockey players in the coming time, of district, state, national and international level.
Present among others on this occasion were – Ashok Behal, Secretary Red Cross Society, Vipul Narang, Deepak Sharma, Rohit Montu, Suraj, and Aseem Aggarwal who conceived the concept.
